Terms of Service
The agreement between you and NolBoost FZ-LLC when you use this service. Plain language, no tricks buried in clause 14.
These terms apply every time you use NolBoost. By submitting a top-up you accept them, so it is worth the five minutes.
1. Who these terms are between
“We”, “us” and “NolBoost” mean NolBoost FZ-LLC, a private company registered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with its registered office at Office 1204, Business Central Towers, Dubai Media City, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. “You” means the person using the service.
We are an independent commercial service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting as an agent of any transport operator, card issuer or public authority. Names of cards and transport networks are used descriptively, to identify what our service is compatible with.
2. What we provide
We accept a payment from you and arrange for a corresponding amount of credit to be added to the transport card whose number you supply. That is the entire service.
- We do not issue, sell, replace or cancel transport cards.
- We do not read or report the balance currently held on a card.
- We do not transfer credit between cards, or refund credit already loaded onto a card.
- We do not sell travel passes, season tickets or other fare products.
Requests of that kind have to go to the organisation that issued your card. We will tell you so rather than take a payment we cannot fulfil.
3. Who may use the service
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. You must be the lawful holder of the payment method you use, or have the holder’s explicit permission to use it.
You may top up a card that belongs to somebody else. If you do, you confirm you are entitled to do so and you remain the person we contracted with.
4. Your responsibilities
Two of these matter far more than the others, so they come first.
- Enter the card number correctly. We deliver credit to the number you give us and we have no way to verify who a card belongs to. The form displays the digits in groups of four so you can check them against the card before paying.
- Enter a working email address. It is where your receipt and your reference code go, and the reference code is what makes any later conversation possible.
- Use the service lawfully, and not for money laundering, fraud, resale of credit or any other unlawful purpose.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, probe or overload the service, or to access parts of it you have not been given access to.
5. Fees and payment
The top-up amount and our service fee of AED 2 are both displayed before you are asked to pay, and again on the confirmation step. All amounts are in AED.
Payment is taken by a third-party payment provider on its own secure pages. We do not receive, process or store your bank card number, expiry date or security code. Your agreement with the payment provider and with your own bank governs the payment itself.
Your bank may add charges of its own, such as a foreign-transaction fee, and may apply its own exchange rate. Those amounts are set by your bank, are not visible to us, and are not part of what we charge.
6. Amounts and limits
We may decline a transaction, or reduce these limits for a particular card or payment method, where fraud screening or applicable law requires it. Where we decline, no charge is made.
- Minimum per top-up: AED 10.
- Maximum per top-up: AED 500.
- Maximum of five top-ups per card per calendar day.
7. Delivery and timing
Once your payment is authorised, the credit is queued against the card number you supplied, normally within seconds. Credit becomes available on the card when the card is next presented to a reader in the network — a gate, a validator or a parking meter.
That final step happens on infrastructure we neither own nor control. We are responsible for queuing your credit promptly and correctly; we cannot guarantee the timing of the reader interaction, and delays caused by third-party systems are outside our control.
8. Cancellation and refunds
A top-up cannot be cancelled after payment is authorised, because the credit is queued immediately. What can happen afterwards depends on whether the credit has been claimed by a tap.
Where credit is still pending, we can normally reverse or redirect it. Where it has been loaded onto a card, we no longer hold it and cannot return it. The Refund Policy forms part of these terms and sets out the detail, including timescales.
9. Mistakes
If you supply the wrong card number, contact us immediately. Where the credit has not yet been claimed we will make reasonable efforts to redirect it to the correct card at no extra cost. Once it has been claimed by whoever holds that card, it is spent and we cannot recover it.
If we make a mistake — the wrong amount, a duplicate charge, credit never queued — we will correct it and refund in full, including the service fee.
10. Availability
We aim to keep the service available at all times, but we do not promise uninterrupted operation. Maintenance, third-party outages, payment-provider incidents and events beyond our reasonable control can all interrupt it.
Where we can give notice of planned maintenance, we will. Where an interruption prevents a top-up you have paid for from being queued, you are entitled to a full refund including the fee.
11. Our liability
We are liable for failing to provide the service we sold you with reasonable care and skill. Where we are at fault, our total liability for any transaction is limited to the amount you paid for it, including the service fee.
We are not liable for losses caused by an incorrect card number you supplied, by the timing of third-party reader or payment systems, or for indirect losses such as a missed journey, a missed appointment or a parking penalty.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
12. Suspension of access
We may refuse or suspend service where we reasonably suspect fraud, unlawful use, abuse of the service or attempts to interfere with it. Where we do, we will refund any payment we have taken but not fulfilled, unless the law requires otherwise.
13. Intellectual property
The design, text, code and branding of this site belong to us or our licensors. You may use the site for its intended purpose. You may not copy, republish or reuse its content commercially without our written permission.
Third-party names and marks referred to on this site remain the property of their respective owners and are used only descriptively.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms — for example when fees, limits or payment methods change. The version published here at the time you submit a top-up is the version that governs it, and the date at the top of this page tells you when it last changed.
Material changes to fees or limits are reflected in the form itself before you pay, so you will never be charged on terms you could not see.
15. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai, and the courts of Dubai have jurisdiction over any dispute.
Before going to court, please give us a chance to fix it. Write to legal@nolboost.com with your reference code; most disputes turn out to be a misunderstanding that one clear email resolves.
