Fees and limits

One flat fee, two limits, no asterisks. This page is the complete list of what we charge and what we do not.

Fees

What we charge

The service fee is the same whether you add AED 10 or AED 500. Small top-ups are not penalised.

Charge Amount When it applies
Service fee AED 2 Once per successful top-up
Percentage commission None We do not take a cut of the amount
Minimum-amount surcharge None Topping up AED 10 costs the same fee as topping up AED 500
Failed payment None A declined payment costs nothing
Refund handling None We do not charge to process a refund we owe you
Account or subscription None There is no account to pay for

The one charge we cannot see or control is your own bank’s. If your card is issued outside the UAE, your bank may add a foreign-transaction fee to the total. That appears on your bank statement, not on our receipt.

Limits

How much you can add

Limit Value Why
Minimum per top-up AED 10 Below this the fee stops being proportionate for you
Maximum per top-up AED 500 Keeps a single mistyped amount from becoming a large problem
Top-ups per card per day 5 A fraud-prevention limit, not a commercial one
Recommended balance to keep AED 7.5 or more Enough to get through a gate rather than being turned away at one

Need more than AED 500 on a card? Run two top-ups. There is no rule against it and the fee is the only thing that repeats.

Three worked examples

Because a flat fee behaves differently from a percentage, here is what it looks like at three points on the scale.

Topping up AED 20
You are charged AED 22.00. The fee is 10% of the amount, which is the worst case — top up a little more and it improves quickly.
Topping up AED 100
You are charged AED 102.00. The fee is 2% of the amount.
Topping up AED 500
You are charged AED 502.00. The fee is 0.4% of the amount — the same flat charge, spread further.

If you top up often, fewer and larger top-ups cost you less in fees than many small ones. That is the only optimisation available here, and we would rather tell you than not.

Why there is a fee at all

The fee covers the things that cost real money on every transaction: the payment provider’s charge for taking your card payment, the fraud screening that runs before we accept it, and the support team that answers when a top-up needs chasing.

We charge it as a flat amount rather than a percentage because the underlying cost is broadly flat. A percentage would earn us more on large top-ups without costing us more to process, and that felt like the wrong shape for the bill.

Currency

Everything on this site is quoted and charged in AED. There is no currency conversion on our side, so the amount on our receipt is the amount that reaches us.

If your bank card is denominated in another currency, your bank converts at its own rate on its own date. Neither the rate nor the timing is something we can see, quote or influence.

No surprises at the end

The total including the fee is on screen before you are asked to pay a thing.
